Dorette Gonschorek has been working at the music publisher and label ROOF Music in Bochum for 20 years, whose other business areas are booking, audio books, management and literature management. Dorette is responsible for all aspects of publishing, from copyright management, licensing and contract drafting to A&R and artist support.

The publishing catalogue ranges from indie and pop to rap and jazz to music cabaret. Represented authors include Helge Schneider, Götz Alsmann and Max and Jonas from ‘Das Lumpenpack’. The publishing house is a full member of GEMA.

Dorette is a spokesperson for the MVV (music publishers in the VUT) and has been a member of the VUT board since 2023. In addition to her work for ROOF Music, Dorette volunteers for the non-profit organisation Musikbüro Bochum to strengthen the local and regional pop music scene.
