Pablo Vollmer is Head of Events Department of Sea-Watch and has also been an organiser, cultural worker and project manager in various contexts for 13 years.

Having been politicised at an early age in the Wendland region, he learned to look at institutional failures and political unwillingness, but to see civil society potential in them, to create spaces for encounters and to communicate options for action. He did this both as a founding member and juror of United We Stream and their Berlin fundraising campaign, and at nationwide events and campaigns in the field of tension between politics and culture.

For Sea-Watch, among other things, he develops formats, establishes new networks and thus brings the political work of civilian sea rescue with new answers into the art and culture scene.
