In the first year of the pandemic, 2020, Lukas Nixdorff founded the boutique label Kommerz Records together with his brother Jonathan. There, they provide a platform for selected projects by artists from the area of tension between hip-hop, R&B, jazz and electronic music. In addition, Lukas and Jonathan have been managing the careers of artists Bluestaeb and S. Fidelity for many years, run the lo-fi beat label Hosted by, advise various artists such as Yousef Kekhia, Tereza and Moses Yoofee Trio as well as Melt Festival, organise parties with PAPER BERLIN and most recently founded Zahlbach Musikverlag with their cousin Anton Pfurtscheller, himself the founder of the underground hip-hop label Sichtexot. Lukas Nixdorff was Manager International Synch Licensing at BMG until 2017 and has a B.A. in Communication & Cultural Management from Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen.
