Music, Makers & Machines – A History of Electronic Music on Google Arts & Culture
Sat 24 04, 13:45
Music, Makers & Machines is the first comprehensive overview of a music movement presented on Google Arts & Culture. Working with over 58 international cultural institutions and partners from the music industry, the project presents an immersive online exhibition on the pioneers and the most legendary instruments as well as highlighting contemporary trends, places, artists and technological turning points. Music, Makers & Machines was launched to celebrate the history and legacy of electronic music, including an emphasis on the “behind the scenes”, diversity in electronic music, the queer roots, the female pioneers, and the black origins. Using a few such examples, we want to show what can happen when the cultural expertise of our partners and the latest technical capabilities interact.
