Richard Wernicke is Head of Content at Deezer. He is responsible for all editorial content from music and podcasts to audio books and also takes care of relationships with major and indie labels. Furthermore, his responsibilities include the development of innovative artist marketing campaigns. He has realized numerous private concerts and fan events for artists such as Beatsteaks, Sarah Connor, Mark Forster, Kontra K, LEA or Tokio Hotel. Previously, Wernicke was Label Relations Director at Simfy, a German music streaming service. There he managed and expanded the label catalog and was responsible for artist marketing initiatives and exclusive content. Before joining Simfy, Wernicke was Senior A&R Manager at EMI Music and worked as A&R Manager at Four Music. He started his career in the music business as Label Manager at Groove Attack Productions.
