Jan Üblacker is sociologist and professor for housing and neighbourhood development at the EBZ Business School (FH) in Bochum. His research and teaching focuses on gentrification, urban development, housing markets, socio-spatial integration and social inequality. He is also interested in the impact of digitalisation on social cohesion.  He is a member of the board of RN37 Urban Sociology of the European Sociological Association (ESA).
