Arndt Klocke (51) was born in East Westphalia and has lived in Cologne for many years. He is the deputy parliamentary group chairman of the Green Party in the NRW state parliament. For over ten years now, the MP has been active as a specialist spokesman for construction, housing and transport. From 2012 to 2017, Klocke was also committee chairman for innovation, science and research. After graduating from high school in 1990 and during his studies in Münster, he was already active in political institutions. First as chairman of the Asta of the University of Münster and since 1991 also as a member of the Green Party. After subsequent various spokesman and other leadership positions at the municipal and state political level, Klocke was state chairman of his party from 2006-2010. He was subsequently elected as a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament. Klocke is a member of the Board of Trustees of Aidshilfe NRW, the Advisory Board for Housing Promotion of NRW-Bank, the Board of Trustees of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies and the Supervisory Board of Cologne/Bonn Airport.
