No sooner has 2020 begun our programme for the Festival Wednesday to Friday is complete. New in the line-up are the German-Italian DJ, multi-instrumentalist and music producer David August, the hip-hop duo 257ers, who released two studio albums last year, the shooting star of the German rap scene Eunique as well as our all-time favourite actor, DJ and total artwork Lars Eidinger. With his infamous "Autistic Disco" he will be whistling at all genre etiquette in the Waggonhalle in Ehrenfeld. Apart from the Autistic Disco, we have two more party series in the program for Friday night: Cosmo (with Pongo and LYZZA) at the Yuca and Brutalism (with Bjarki, MK Braun, Måtyrer & Dornen) at the Artheater. You can also look forward to an extraordinary premiere: Cologne's first Crystal Ball. The concept of the Ballrooms originates from the New York homo-/transsexual and Afro/Latin American community of the 60s/70s. These events are all about unfolding individually through an expressive dance style called Voguing. The collective "House of Saint Laurent" (formerly "The House of Melody") brought the pompous concept to Germany and also presents the show at the Bürgerzentrum Ehrenfeld. Here a jury evaluates the Voguing dances, which include model poses from the fashion world.
