The Human Touch Performance
A fact that is often ignored, anonymised or neutralised in the fashion industry and by consumers: Garment production = human labour.
As a trained tailor, garment technician and designer, Juliet has a multifaceted relationship to fashion. Using the sewing-painting technique, she visualises human labour directly on the garment with the project the human touch. Each piece shows a unique pattern, created through the manual twisting, turning, pulling, manipulating during the sewing process.
The products from the human touch are made to order in Berlin and are available exclusively on Saturday at the Kleiderei.
