And a piece of contemporary history for music lovers and culture enthusiasts that makes it clear that underground rap is relevant throughout Germany and across genders. The answers to the eleven questions make it clear that, despite their differences, they all have a lot in common. “One of the aims of this book was to show this,” say the two initiators of the project, Bart Spencer and Henrike Ott. “Thanks to social media, we are living more and more in our bubbles. We are guided by algorithms and curated playlists. Socially, we are increasingly preoccupied with our differences instead of looking at what connects us all,” the two outline their motivation for the book.
