Germany is, alongside the USA, the most important export market for the French music industry. With a turnover of over 35 million euros (2019), Germany accounts for 11% of French exports worldwide. On international markets, French publishers achieved a turnover increase of over 9% most recently, generating revenues of 54.7 million euros (excluding Sacem). Revenues from sync accounted for over 30% of this total.
Music made in France is featured in numerous worldwide campaigns. Examples can be found in the following curated playlists: advertisements (https://whatthefrance.lnk.to/french-music-sync-all-stars) , soundtracks (https://whatthefrance.lnk.to/movie-soundtracks-made-in-france-after-60s) and game scores (https://whatthefrance.lnk.to/video-game-soundtracks-made-in-france) .
The first year after the 20th c/o pop anniversary is just around the corner, and we continue our proven and successful meeting of French publishers and music supervisors from the German-speaking area as part of the c/o pop Convention 2024.
In the familiar relaxed atmosphere and under the moderation of Ralph Christoph (Director c/o pop Convention) and Daniel Winkel (Head of German Office – Senior Expert GSA, CNM, French rights holders exchange experiences with music supervisors from the German-speaking area.
