Acts for Awareness – How artists can make spaces safer
Session
April 24, 13:15–14:15
Herbrand's - Stage 6
Artists have a strong voice – especially when it comes to awareness and discrimination-sensitive spaces. In this session, we will shed light on the role artists play in the implementation of awareness concepts and how they can actively shape structures – especially backstage and on stage. We will also look at how artists can position themselves in relation to incidents.
The session is aimed at artists, their environment and delegates. Based on best practices and experiences from the scene, we will develop strategies together to anchor awareness in the long term. We will also provide a first insight into the new project Acts Act by Act Aware e.V., which develops special educational formats for artists and their environment.
The New Talent program takes place in cooperation with popNRW and VUT West.
