4D Future Mapping Workshop

4D Future Mapping Workshop

Session

April 24, 13:00–17:00

Cinenova - Stage 1

In the 4D Future Mapping Workshop of the Green Culture Contact Point together with YOUROPE, we want to come together with a wide variety of people from the arts, culture, science, business and civil society to jointly shape a desirable future for culture. In creative sessions, participants will develop concrete models for a sustainable cultural future. The interactive workshop is based on Otto Scharmer's Theory U approach and has been specially developed for the cultural sector.

About the theory:

The new 4D Future Mapping Workshop of the Green Culture Contact Point is based on the work of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Professor Otto Scharmer and his Theory U approach. Theory U explores how individuals, teams, organisations and large systems can build the key structures to address the root causes of today's social, environmental and societal challenges in a co-creative, practical and results-oriented way.

To this end, MIT's comprehensive and time-intensive ‘Emerging Futures’ approach to culture has been further developed and the process adapted so that actionable results can be achieved for all participants within the given time frame.

Note: Loud music will be played at times during the workshop.
