Thomas Venker (Cologne) is co-editor-in-chief of the Kaput - Magazin für Insolvenz & Pop and co-curator of the concert series Köln ist kaput. Before he founded Kaput in 2014, he was editor-in-chief of Intro Magazine for 14 years. Currently he is also a member of the editorial team of Chart - Notes to consider magazine and writes regularly for a portfolio of magazines and daily newspapers - and moderates panels and symposia for cultural institutions. He is manager of the electronic music producer and DJ Lena Willikens as well as the audiovisual art performance project Phantom Kino Ballett. Thomas Venker teaches music journalism and artist marketing at several German universities, including the Institute for Pop Music at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Bochum.
