Signals from the echo chamber – Who is speaking?

Masks, clothing, and costumes conceal, reveal, and adorn the body, constructing belonging and demarcation. Playing with signs can help expose or overcome stereotypes, opening up the notion of identity and creating space for the improbable. In this way, multiple positions emerge in favor of a polyphony in art and pop culture as well as everyday life, in opposition to the imperative of "authenticity porn." How can artists* relate spaces, roles, and positions without repeating visual hierarchies and stereotypical representations, and design diverse realities?
