DIGITAL MUSIC: LE BOCKATHON DE LA MUSIQUE

How can musicians and composers make a living from their works even in the digital age? A central problem is the inadequate quality or even the lack of metadata. Without correct metadata, creative people are unable to receive fair revenues for their music. This metadata chaos affects not only music, but also games, film, television, advertising, and print - and has been for decades.

The Blockathon de la Musique aims to bring a breath of fresh air into the music ecosystem in the run-up to the c/o pop Convention 2019: 25 French and 25 German hackers or creatives (musicians, producers, sound engineers, photographers, designers, and others) are invited to develop solutions on April 30th and May 1st - blockchain and/or artificial intelligence can be used, but do not have to be. Creatives and hackers can register until April 22, 2019!

The results will subsequently be presented on Thursday, May 2, 2019, as part of DIGITAL MUSIC and in the presence of the State Minister for Economics, Digitization, Innovation, and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia, Mr. Pinkwart.

The blockathon is organized by hack.institute and ContentSphere, in cooperation with CREATIVE.NRW and supported by the Ministry of Economics, Innovation, Digitization, and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia. More information here.
