DIANA is the first song contest with an associated songwriting camp and its own award ceremony. After the notable DIANA premiere at c/o pop 2020, this year again, selected musicians will create songs and generate music videos with the help of artificial intelligence within one day. The song contest winners will be determined during the DIANA Award Ceremony at the Cologne Music Week 2021 and awarded the coveted DIANA trophy.
DIANA CEREMONY 2021
Where: St. Michael Church, Brüsseler Pl. 13-15, 50674 Köln
When: Saturday, 23rd of Oct 2021
Time: Doors 6 PM - Start 7 PM
The audience can expect a festive award ceremony during which the songs and music videos of this year's DIANA AI Song Contest as well as the four exceptional songwriting teams will be presented.
Jovanka von Wilsdorf, initiator of the DIANA AI Song Contest, will guide through the evening. In addition, we are looking forward to a brilliant live performance by the artist VALENTIN and, of course, to the exciting voting process to identify this year's winning team as well as its ceremonial awarding with the DIANA Trophy and other prizes!
Both the jury and the audience will decide together on the evening of the Award Ceremony which of the four teams will break musical boundaries and thus earn the DIANA Trophy 2021!
We would like to thank the City of Cologne and KölnBusiness Wirtschaftsförderung for their support, the Sonar AI and Music S+T+ARTS Festival, and KI.NRW for their partnership and LyricStudio, Loudly, Boomy, Landr, Rotor Videos, and Ableton for sponsorship and excellent cooperation.
We are excited and looking forward to seeing you!
Yours DIANA Team

Premiere of the D I A N A AI Song Contest at c/o pop xoxo – the 2020 Special Edition / c/o pop Convention
LOSS: "D I A N A was special from front to back! Being subject to so many unpredictable factors (from AI tools & Corona to random teams), you couldn't help but just be driven by the process. The limitations inspired you in a new way and as a team we were able to create something outside of our comfort zones. I was able to take a lot away for my future songwriting and meet great artists. And then to win was the icing on the cake!"
ASHIA BISON ROUGE: "I had never been to a 'Songwriting Camp' before, so I was a bit nervous, but Jovanka and Karla, the organizers, were incredibly welcoming and supported us with the AI applications. Along with recording vocals and cello, I also edited the AI generated beats, added melodic arrangements, and collaborated on the lyrics. It was very inspiring working with Floss, who's approach to melody was new to me, and Vincent, who's edge with sound production reminded me that 'anything is possible'. I'm very honored that our team won with our song, something I couldn't have even imagined entering the door at c/o pop D I A N A that day."
VINCENT ANCOT: "The Songwriting Camp opened up a whole new world to me! As a producer, I have been in challenging songwriting situations before, but D I A N A was something completely different. The AI Tools reshuffled my entire workflow, while at the same time offering solutions, that my human brain could have never imagined. But it really was the group experience that made the camp so special. I feel very lucky for getting to know ASHIA and FLOSS and their very human approaches to music and I once again want to thank Jovanka, Karla and everyone in the team for the opportunity."
