April 23,
20:30–21:30

Concert @
Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld

With his music, BRKN embodies the life of a young man between fear of the future and a thirst for recognition. Growing up in Berlin-Kreuzberg as the son of a drug therapist and a qualified teacher, Andac Berkan Akbiyik began piano lessons in the first grade. In the course of time, saxophone and other instruments followed, which the musician with a Turkish-Armenian-Kurdish migration history taught himself. At the age of twelve, he began singing, rapping and writing lyrics - and finally recorded the EP "Kennste Einen Kennste Alle" in collaboration with Alligatoah.

Despite the successes of recent years, BRKN remains modest: "I never expect a song or video to be a direct hit. Instead, I always expect the very worst. That's why I'm all the more happy about good feedback, but I'm never satisfied with it. You just can't sleep or be lazy. You always have to stay on the ball."

The concert of BRKN is part of the funding project "c/o pop 2022 musichubgermany " and is supported by the Initiative Musik gemeinnützige Projektgesellschaft GmbH with project funds of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
