VUT Indie Days Köln: Gender biases and discrimination in AI (Engl.)

Mehr Infos
Artificial intelligence cannot be objective, because it is based on traditional patterns of attitude. How can discrimination through AI be remedied?

Many important decisions in society are now being made by algorithms. With none of these algorithms we know any details about their decision making process. Who has programmed and trained these algorithms with which intent or purpose? Potential ethical risks and issues need to be identified during the design of AI algorithms to ensure that the most vulnerable in societies are protected from harm. We want to take a closer look to see if there are undesirable consequences of the current process.
